Arthur �Art� Ahlers Clearwater�Funeral services for Arthur �Art� Ahlers age 86 of Clearwater will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater. Burial will be in the Clearwater Cemetery in Clearwater. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #267 of Clearwater. Visitation will be from 4 � 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Art passed away December 14, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Neligh. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Clearwater is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.snidermemorial.com Arthur �Art� Ahlers was born October 3, 1921 in Clearwater, Nebraska to Otto and Alma Roenfeldt. He attended French town Country School. He entered into the United States Army on July 24, 1942 at Fort Crook Nebraska. He served during WW II in the Asiatic- Pacific Theater. He was discharged on April 27, 1945 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. On June 2, 1946 he was united into marriage to Helen Schnoor in Tilden, Nebraska. Art was a farmer for most of his life north of Clearwater. Art was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post #267 in Clearwater. He loved his farming, grandkids and great-grandkids, spraying weeds, riding 4-wheeler, picking asparagus, fruit and walnuts. He is survived by his children Allen and his wife Cheryl of Fremont, NE; Jim and his wife Janee of Ft. Collins, CO; Steve and his wife Kathy, Don and his wife Sherri both of Clearwater, NE; and Doug and his wife Brenda of Hastings, NE. His 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. A brother, Albert of Clearwater. In-laws Eldon & Marlene Schnoor, Ruth Galyen and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, a brother Clarence, Sister-in-law Marie Ahlers, Brother-in-law Dean Galyen, and Great Grand Daughter Allison.
