Dale Jay Wilkinson

Dale Wilkinson age 88 of Neligh, Nebraska passed away at Antelope Memorial Hospital on April 6, 2026. A Private Family Services will be at a later date.      Dale Jay Wilkinson was born on March 7, 1938 to Irl and Irma (Schmidt) Wilkinson at Elgin, Nebraska. He attended school at Elgin and graduated from Elgin High School with the Class of 1955. On November 3, 1957, he was united in marriage to Joyce Krebs at the Congregational Church in Neligh. To this union, three sons were born, Lee, Allen, and Michael. Dale was in the grocery business for most of his life. Dale and Joyce spent the first six years of retirement in South Texas during the winter months. He enjoyed being on Neligh City Council, camping, and singing.

     Dale is survived by his sons, Lee of Neligh, Nebraska, Allen “Al” of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Michael (Diane) of Kansas City, Kansas. Also grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Brother Lynn Willinson of Neligh, NE; sisters Rose Ann and Pat Cool of Columbus, NE; and sister-in-law, Lorri Wilkinson of Chapman, NE. Many nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Vance Wilkinson and Ronald Wilkinson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
