Memorial service for David Pollock, age 99 formally of Neligh, NE will be held at a later date. He passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
David Rodney Pollock was born on January 6, 1919 at Page, Nebraska to David and Chloe (Snell) Pollock. He grew up in Ewing, Nebraska. Graduated High School and attended Grand Island Business College. On April 19, 1941 he was united in marriage to Katherine Phillips at Columbus, Nebraska. They celebrated 46 years of marriage. He was enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps on December 1942 to June 1944. After the war, he worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in Omaha and then for the Internal Revenue Service in Omaha and San Fransisco. He retired in 1976 and moved to Neligh that year. He enjoyed playing golf with many of his golfing buddies at Antelope Country Club for 40 years.
Survived by his son, Phillip Pollock of San Francisco, California. Two grandchildren, Spencer and Chloe. Sister, Alice and Art Busshardt and brother, Ken and Shirley Pollock all of Neligh, Nebraska.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Katherine (1987). Sister, Alta Raasch and brother, Ralph Pollock.
