Donald Harold Davids was born on October 6, 1933 to Harold and Barbara (Ernst) Davids at Creighton, Nebraska and passed away July 30, 2025 at the Plainview Manor. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Ludger's Catholic Church in Creighton. He attended rural country schools, later receiving his high school GED in the military. He served in the United States Army from January 19, 1954 until January 18, 1956.
On July 5, 1958 he was united in marriage to Judith Loy Andersen at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainview. They were the parents of 3 children, Kim, Lori, and Mike. Don was a lifelong farmer. Don and Judy enjoyed dancing in their early years. He enjoyed hunting and doing woodworking for his family. Don loved going on bus trips, visiting with everyone about anything and everything, playing with his grandsons, and reading Louis L'Amour westerns. Don received the Outstanding Farmer Award in 1967 from the Plainview Chamber of Commerce. He also received a State Conservation award for planting trees and was a 50 year member of the Plainview American Legion Post 148.
