HAZEL BOYD LAFOND

July 28, 1934 - May 4, 2019

Memorial services for Hazel LaFond, age 84 of Plainview will be held Saturday, May 25th 11:00 a.m. at the First United Congregational Church in Plainview.  Hazel passed away at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk May 4, 2019.

Hazel Boyd LaFond was born July 28, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Irene Boyd in Westfield, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of two daughters.

She married James Joseph LaFond in Vergennes, Vermont on October 11, 1958. They were married 50 years.  They made their home in Huntington, Massachusetts where they raised two children.  In 2006 they made Plainview their home.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband James LaFond, her parents, and her sister & brother-in-law Velma & Larry Carlson.

Hazel is survived by children:  Wayne (Debbie) LaFond of North Branford, Connecticut, Jeff LaFond of Orlando, Florida, and Linda (Todd) Hart of Plainview.  Grandchildren:  Jon (Kathy) LaFond, Megan LaFond, Allen LaFond, Isabelle LaFond, Jesse (Jena) Kaufman, Josiah (Amy) Kaufman, Rachel (Chris) Bodoin, Jeremy (Bree) Kaufman, Aaron Kaufman, Marcus (Katie) Kaufman, Sarah Kaufman, and Kenny Hart.  Great Grandchildren:  Timothy Kaufman, Sierra Kaufman, Allie Kaufman, Isaiah Kaufman, Elsie Kaufman, Aiden Bodoin, Peyton Bodoin, Hadassh Kaufman, Regan Kaufman, Diedrich Kaufman, and Cayden Anderson.
