Janet Lederer

Graveside Memorial Services for Janet Lederer age 81 of Plainview will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview.  Janet passed away August 3, 2021 at the Plainview Manor.

Janet E. Lederer, daughter of Charles and Eleanor (O’Brien) was born February 12, 1940 in Bothell WA.  Jan worked for John Fluke Mfg. and became the Lead Calibrator.  She enjoyed this job.

She married Marvin Blunck, they moved to Osmond NE and the union was soon dissolved.

Jan bought a candy store in Norfolk NE and had many delectable treats.

Jan meet Dale Lederer and on August 16,1991 they were married.  Jan enjoyed living on the farm and helping with the day to day activities.  She loved driving the tractor to town!  She became a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school.

Jan always wanted for everyone to have a good time and was the life of the party!!

She is survived by Brother Verne and Marcia Mealey, Niece Ruth and Rod Johnson, Nephew Phillip Sharpe and Several Cousins, Step daughter Jean Dole and family, In Laws Charlie and Connie Lederer, Howard & Dixie Lederer, Hazel Krohn and families many Great Nephews and Nieces and Great Great Nephews and Nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, sister Kathy, brother Chuck, nephew Patrick, niece Shelly and many friends and relatives.
