Celebration of Life for LaVerne V. Heermann age 88, of Neligh, Nebraska will be May 16, 2025 at the Neligh American Legion from 5:00-8:00 p.m. a service will be at 5:30 p.m. A luncheon and fellowship will follow. LaVerne Victor Heermann was born on April 5, 1936. LaVern had a love for life that was reflected in his love for family, in his hunting, fishing and many trips to Sturgis. LaVerne enlisted in the United State Army from January 20, 1955 to December 20, 1956. He was Private First Class during the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Stella (Hledjik) Heermann and husband Leonard Wehrer. His brother Ronald Heermann.

Survived by three daughters, Karmen and Rick Hoffman of Clearwater, NE; two grandsons, Josh of Rushmore, MN; Alex and Brittnie (Lambrecht) of Orchard, NE; two grandchildren Randi and Dylan Mack of Clearwater, NE; and Kasey Shenshew of Clearwater, NE. three great granddaughters and six great grandsons. Daughter Shannon Olson of Neligh, NE; two granddaughters, Jacqueline (Jackie) Olson of Neligh, NE and Sheena Olson of Petersburg, NE; and son Javis and Allie Olson of Hope Mills, NC. five great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Daughter, Serena Heermann and Wendy Stutzman of Dannebrog, NE.
