A Celebration of Life Service for Linda K. Market age 75 of Neligh, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. February 28, 2026 at Antelope County Ag Society Event Center in Neligh, Nebraska. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh. Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh is handling the arrangements. Linda passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Ne. Condolences may be directed to the family at www.snidermemorial.com
Linda Kay Market was born on March 8, 1950, in Center, Ne., Linda began her education in Bloomfield before moving with her family to Harvard, Ne. in 1957, where she continued her education. Her early years laid the foundation for a life marked by compassion and dedication to others.
Linda devoted thirty nine and a half years of her professional life to the Neligh Nursing Home, where she faithfully served the residents with warmth and care. Her commitment to the well-being of others was evident in every aspect of her work and left a lasting impression on those she cared for.
Linda especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and took great joy in spoiling them. She found happiness in simple pleasures like watching classic television shows, playing pitch and board games. She always made time to connect with those around her. Her kind heart and genuine interest in others touched many lives.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leo J. Market of Neligh, Ne.; their sons Steve (Martha) Market of Geneseo, Il., Bob (Amy) Market of Hastings, Ne., and Mike (Sarah) Market of Oakdale, Ne. Linda was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren: Jessica (Brady) Jennings of Moline,Il., Alex Market of Atkinson, Il., Jake Market of East Moline, Il., Anthony Market of Norfolk, Ne., Lena Lukas and Julie Market of Hastings, Ne. Linda also leaves behind her sisters Phyllis Briggs of Mankato, Ks, and Carol Gnewuch of Grand Island, Ne.; as well as her brother David (Colleen) Gnewuch of Grand Island, Ne.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Martha Gnewuch, father-in-law Eugene Market, mother-in-law Delores “Evelyn” Market, sister-in-law Cecilia Market and her brother-in-law John E. Briggs.
May Linda’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
