Louise “Luanne” Anne Tabbert

Funeral Service for Louise "Luanne" Tabbert age 75 of Orchard, Nebraska will be Monday, September 7, 2026 at St.Theresa's Catholic Church at Clearwater, Nebraska with Father Frank Baumert officiating. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the service Monday, at the church. A private family burial will be at a later date. Luanne passed away on September 2, 2026 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, Nebraska. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Orchard is handling the arrangements. Louise Anne “Luanne” Tabbert was born on April 12, 1951, to Lloyd and Leona (Hudec) Ruge in Pender, Nebraska. Luanne grew up in Walthill, Nebraska, and graduated from Walthill High School with the Class of 1969. She continued her education at Wayne State College.

On June 26, 1971, Luanne was united in marriage to the love of her life, Clifton “Bill” Tabbert, in Walthill, Nebraska. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and caring for those around them.

Luanne worked as a cook at the Corner Bar, but the role she treasured most was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She had a gift for making those she loved feel cared for, and her family was always at the center of her life.

Luanne enjoyed crafting, especially quilting. Her quilts were truly labors of love, and she made them for her loved ones to celebrate special occasions throughout their lives. Each one became a treasured reminder of the time, care, and love she so generously gave.

Luanne is survived by her husband, Clifton “Bill” Tabbert of Orchard, Nebraska; her children, Kris Tabbert and Chad Longe of Orchard, Nebraska; Rebecca (Justin) Kelly of Hebron, Kentucky; Tony (Anita) Tabbert of Orchard, Nebraska; and Michael Tabbert (Brian Ferris) of Ewing, Nebraska.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kailee Schrock, Evie (Zach) Painter, Zachary (Jessie) Kelly, Jacob Tabbert, Dane Miller, Zander Tabbert, and Abbi Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Schrock, Daniel Schrock, Kathryn Schrock, Hudson Painter, and August Kelly.

Luanne was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Leona Ruge; her parents-in-law, Arvie and Evelyn Tabbert; and her brother, Al Ruge.
