August 20, 1954 – December 23, 2020

Memorial services for Robert Frank Kalvelage, 66, Albion will be at 10:00AM, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Congregational Church in Brunswick, NE.  Pastor Robert Moore will officiate. There will be no visitation as he was cremated. A private family burial at the Brunswick Cemetery will occur at a later date. Please note: to respect the safety of the family and friends, masks and social distancing will be required. There will also be no luncheon.

Robert Frank Kalvelage was born to Alvis and Janice (Mundschenk) Kalvelage on August 20, 1954 in Columbus, NE.  He grew up on a farm near Elgin and graduated from Pope John High School in 1972.  He served in the military from 1972 to 1979.  He spent most of his adulthood working as a farmhand. He loved being outdoors, whether it's mowing yards, fishing, or just enjoying the fresh air.

He is survived by his daughters: Leanna and husband Thomas Jaixen of Platte Center, NE and Alicia of Wayne, NE; grandchildren: Carson, Madeline, and Anna; brothers: Steven (Peter) Kalvelage of Johnson City, TX and James (Dolly) Kalvelage of Albion, NE; and sister: Carol (Gary) Thiele of Norfolk, NE.  Preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Hofer.
