Robert Willis Sirek, 98 of Brunswick NE passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 in Omaha surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.  Monday April 21st   at the First United Congregational Church, in Plainview. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in the Brunswick City Cemetery.

He was born on March 20,1927 in Boyd Nebraska to Lumer and Rose (Elsasser) Sirek.  He graduated from Plainview High School in 1945.After graduating he joined the Navy. He served as Yeoman and was stationed in San Diego and Coronado Navy Bases and was honorably discharged in 1947.

Willis married Darlene Silhacek on August 1,1950 and to this union two children were born a daughter Cynthia and son Douglas. He started Sirek Well Company in 1954 and retired in 1992 with his son and grandson continuing to operate the business. He loved spending time at his cabin on the Missouri River fishing and hosting many fish fries for family and friends, gardening and tending to his flower gardens. He enjoyed making cookies and sharing his produce and flowers from his garden with everyone.

Willis is preceded in death by his wife Darlene, his parents Lumer and Rose, brothers Bernie and Winferd, sisters Opal, Lorrine, and Alice.  He is survived by daughter Cynthia (Ken) Bossard and son Douglas (Ruth) Sirek; grandchildren Brent, Ed (Katie) Andy Bossard; Melissa, Cody, Lucas, Michaela (fiance Stone); 9 great-grandchildren, and sister Rosalie Nelsen.
