Funeral services of Tim A. Wacker, 48, of Plainview will be at 10 am Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. Rev. Brian Bucklew will officiate , with burial at Pleasant View Cemetery in Plainview, NE.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.
Tim died Friday November 23, 2018 in a vehicle accident near Plainview.
Ashburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Tim Anthony Wacker, son of Lyle and Carol (Volk) Wacker was born July 23, 1970 at Norfolk, NE.
He graduated from Plainview High School in 1988. Tim attend College of Hair Design in Lincoln, NE graduating in 1990. He then moved back to Plainview starting his own business called Maine Street Barber in February of 1990. Due to renovations he then relocated his business called Wacker’s Cutting Edge in 2000. In 2006 he started as a stylist at Great Clips Norfolk, NE eventually being promoted to manager.
On June 22, 2002 Tim was united in marriage to Ranae Sievers at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview, NE. Tim was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church holding different positions.
Tim was also involved in many community activities including, Chamber of Commerce of Plainview and Norfolk, PAC of Plainview, and Community Theatre. Tim was always Ranae’s biggest supporter of everything she was involved in as well.
Tim enjoyed spending time with his family especially his daily conversations with his mother. The light of his life was his wife Ranae and his many nieces and nephews. He loved checking for the best deal no matter what it was, a meal out or shopping for anything. He was a great connoisseur of recipes, he loved collecting recipes and cookbooks.
Tim was a phone person to say the least. Not only did he love staying in constant communication with family and friends but the social media was a big part of his life.
Having grown up on the farm, Tim never strayed far from his farm roots.
He is survived by his wife, Ranae , mother Carol Wacker of Plainview. Brother Steve and wife Kristine of Osmond. Mother-in-Law Barbara Sievers of Promise City, IA. Sister-in-Law Tamera Mann and husband Merle of Oskaloosa, IA. Nieces Brittani, Carissa and Ashley Wacker of Osmond, NE. Niece Kristi, Nephews Robert, Jon, J.J. and Troy Mann of Oskaloosa, IA.
He was proceeded in death by his father Lyle Wacker and sister Jane Wacker and Father-in-Law Dale Sievers.
Tim really did love life and affected anyone he came in contact with. If you met him as a stranger you didn’t leave as one.
